We 'adevertised' this as "The most relaxed day", and that's how it turned
out.
This is what we said
"Just drift into the Southern Cross club Woden any time between 10am and 3pm. Non members should check at the front desk for an 'Apollo-11 Celebration' sign up sheet.
We should be in the lounge area in the SW corner of the club ground floor (I'll ask the front desk staff to direct people who need it). We'll be handing out your name badges, taking any (late money ;-), answering questions and generally catching up with old mates and people we have only met via Email!
This is the best opportunity for a quiet catch-up as the following 3 days
will be fairly full-on. Stay for 5 mins or 5Hours. Stay for lunch and/or a few
quiet drinks. It is not necessary to go to the club on Sunday - we will have the
badges and cash boxes available at all the other venues. We should also have
pre-ordered memorabilia items available for pickup (please bring your receipt)
and other items on sale.
About the club. See www.cscc.com.au/woden for more information.
For those who will be arriving by car - the club has 3 floors of parking - but around lunch time they fill up - but there are loads of car parks nearby (first 2 hours free and possibly all day Sunday - that could change).
For those arriving by Bus, the club is a short walk from the Woden bus interchange."
